Innovation is often about making things simpler

This image tells the story of the evolution of our electrochemical cell technology over the past years.

Picture of evolution for our celdesign

What started as a shortened version of the original 1-meter cells we have been working with since 2014, evolved into a completely redesigned concept focused on simplicity, scalability and cost efficiency.

The latest generation is based on an interchangeable cartridge principle, making replacement and maintenance easier than ever. Along the way, we reduced the number of components from 27 to just 7, lowered production costs by more than a factor of 6, and shifted from highly customized parts to commercially available standard components wherever possible.

This evolution demonstrates how continuous development and practical engineering can transform a complex technology into a robust and scalable solution.

A great example of how innovation is not always about adding more, but often about achieving more with less.
